MAPFRE MSV Life first accomplished the Equality Mark certification by the National Commission for the Promotion of Equality (NCPE), with the support of the European Social Fund (ESF) in 2012. This certification has been renewed every since.
David G. Curmi, Chief Executive Officer of MAPFRE MSV Life p.l.c. stated “this award is in recognition of our efforts to provide a work environment that is free from any type of discrimination, a tangible validation of the Company’s commitment to existing and prospective employees. Mr. Curmi added, “the Equality Mark acknowledges the Company’s responsibility to provide equal access to opportunities and career development based on employees’ potentials, irrespective of their gender, age, status or other factors.”
This formal recognition confirms that the work practices of MAPFRE MSV Life meet the required quality standards which are guaranteed and accessible to existing and prospective employees. Furthermore, it also confirms that the rights and responsibilities of all employees are respected and safeguarded and is further supported by the establishment of policies that not only focus on equality, but also ensure protection against sexual harassment and a continued commitment to provide family-friendly measures to all employees.
“Initiatives that assist employees to find a balance between work and family commitments reinforce MAPFRE MSV’s commitment towards equality and underpin its endeavour to be an employer of choice” said Norman Mifsud, Senior Manager – HR and Administration at MAPFRE MSV.
